For example, if your gown is a true blue, you’ll probably want to stay away from wearing a pair of red or orange shoes. These colors will usually be too bold for a light blue dress. Instead, opt for a pair of white or cream shoes to keep the color palette simple and avoid being overly creative with footwear.
If it’s a brighter navy, then make sure to choose similarly. If you don’t do this you can end up with clashing colors and an uncomplimentary outfit. When it comes to what color shoes to wear with a light blue dress, there is not one single color that is perfect for every blue lady.

It’s also a good idea to choose shoes that are a shade or two lighter than what you may wear. When choosing shoes with a navy blue dress, make sure that they match your skin tone and style as much as possible. For example, if your skin tone is darker than a navy blue dress, you can wear darker-colored shoes, and if your skin color is lighter, you can also wear brighter colors. It’s a warm, inviting, and welcoming color that goes with practically anything in your closet. For example, if you’re wearing a navy blue dress, it is better to choose brown shoes because they complement each other very well.
The things I write should be regarded in the light of diary/journal style and essay style writings, reviews and reports exploring the topics I attempt to discuss. Black sandals are very easy to wear and go with almost anything. They are comfortable because of the soft material used for the upper portion of the shoe. As the snow melts, break out a Western-inspired cutout boot. For warm weather, show off that pedicure with an open toe summer bootie. In fall, opt instead for ankle boot with playful perforation or just a hint of faux fur. Black dress shoes are more formal, making them appropriate for work, restaurant dinners, interviews, or weddings. They should be reserved for special events rather than worn on a daily basis. You can also pick one of your favorite colors, red, white, or black. Most women will choose a pair of shoes with a neutral color base such as white or black when wearing a light blue dress. A pair of strappy sandals, for example, would be a poor choice for this type of outfit. A gold, silver, black or beige bag would work well with either shoe color. However, if it is not, red is one of my favourite shoe colors to wear with a black dress and would look great as part of a Fall wedding outfit.
However, a classic lace-up oxford, brogue & even the most preppy of penny loafer will never, ever go out of style (especially not at the office!). Perfect for a garden party, tea party or bridesmaid in a wedding with pastel colors! If you think this is too much, you're better off sticking with blush pink, to keep the colors more subtle.
